Outstanding Conservationists in 2009

The Carlton County Soil and Water Conservation District held it’s 2009 Conservationist’s Award’s Banquet on September 29th at the Cozy Café in Carlton. With attendance of over 55 guests it made this year the largest award banquet held by the SWCD. Supervisor Larry Sampson welcomed everyone and introduced award winners, sponsors and SWCD staff. Also attending this year’s event was Brent Malvick from Representative James Oberstar office and Carlton County Commissioner Marv Bodie.  Brad Matlack, SWCD District Manager began the evening with a tribute to SWCD Supervisor Carol Hauck who passed away this year.
